About Clive Richards Foundation
The Clive Richards Foundation - formerly the Clive and Sylvia Richards Charity - was established on 16 May 1986 by Clive Richards, a serial entrepreneur and his wife Sylvia.
The funds of the Charity were totally donated by Clive and Sylvia Richards.
Following Clive's death in 2021 the Charity was renamed in his honour. The Foundation receives funding from Sylvia Richards and investments. No external fundraising is undertaken.
The focus of the Foundation is to support Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Arts and Overseas Education.
We aim to support those we fund in many ways to:
-
Promote the longevity of projects
-
Build good relationships with an appointed Trustee
-
Assist new connections with relevant organisations
-
Support the measurement of outcomes and impact
-
Ensure best impact for finances invested
The geographic emphasis has historically been biased towards the West Midlands with Herefordshire being the most prominent recipient of donations whilst in 2012/2018 a wider geographic region has benefited.
However due to demands on the Foundation we have had to introduce geographical restrictions for applications.
Full details of eligibiltiy can be found in the Guidelines on each section of the 'How To Apply' page.
